Everything is of course related to the Main Working Indicator (IKU) agreement between the Director of Poltekba and the Ministry.
First, said Hilmansyah, how to produce graduates at Poltekba who can be accepted to work
in the industrial world. He also continued his studies and entrepreneurship. Second, how can D4 and D3 graduate candidates study at least 20 credits off campus.
Third, improve the presentation of lecturers who are active as the Tri Dharma of higher education in related industries based on fields of knowledge and work as industry practitioners.
“Especially for this, Poltekba already has practitioners in the industrial sector. Of course we will continue to improve it,” said Hilmansyah, Friday (28/1/2023).
Not only that, continuing to improve presentations for lecturers with doctoral qualifications. Currently, recorded there are already six lecturers and will continue to grow. “Even with the application of lecturer research, at least the journal can be registered and recognized internationally,” he said.
In general, the Oil City vocational campus is also busy in terms of improving curriculum and learning. It is recorded that there are 84 courses for even semesters out of a total of 450 courses in nine study programs which are enhanced using the Case Based Learning (CBL) and Project Based Learning (PjBL) methods.
“We also plan to increase the accreditation of all study programs to international accreditation,” he explained.
So, according to him, several plans to improve are very important in the current conditions.
Moreover, Balikpapan will be prepared as a buffer for the National Capital. Of course the competition in the future is much higher.
“We will also encourage each department to add new study programs. This year, the plan is to prepare five new study programs. One of them is the smart city study program,” he concluded.
